About Denise

Denise Gonzalez

Denise was born in NY. When she was 7, her parents moved out of the Bronx and headed south to Hammonton, NJ where she was raised most of her life. Her mother is from Santurce Puerto Rico and her father is from Ponce, PR. She left her hometown at age 19 to serve our country in the United States Marine Corps. She now resides in Gloucester Township in Camden County.  Denise has two young children that live with her.  In her free time, Denise enjoys working out, camping, crafting, and cooking with her children.

As a proud Honorably Discharged Veteran of the United States Marine Corps, Denise reflects on her time served as a valuable asset that will enable her to serve our community in public office with the same honor and dignity which she did in the Marines.  During her time in the Marines, Denise served as an Integrated Maintenance Manager, where she completed military occupational training at Joint Expeditionary Base (Naval Amphibious Base) in Norfolk, VA. Logistics, maintenance cycle induction, supply procurement, and predictive analytics were the requisites of her military career at 10th Marine Regiment 2nd Marine Division, Camp Lejeune, NC.

In 2007 Denise graduated from The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 351- Joint Apprenticeship Training program, to which she is still a current card-carrying union member. In this capacity, she has worked as a Journeyman/Wireman Electrician on various commercial construction projects including, but not limited to, the Tacony Palmyra Bridge, Cooper Hospital, Exxon Mobil, Rutgers University, Harrah’s Casino, and Target Department Stores.

Parent, child, and family advocacy and educational initiatives that affect students are what drives Denise. In her work in several organizations, she and her colleagues have raised awareness and educated the public and legislators on the importance of safeguarding New Jersey’s religious exemption, protecting parental rights, ensuring medical freedom and bodily autonomy for all residents of the Garden State.

Her volunteer community service includes preparing and delivering meals to senior citizens, veterans and the disabled in Camden and Gloucester Counties during the holidays.

Denise is the Vice Chair of the Gloucester Township Republican Municipal Committee, founder of the Gloucester Township Republican Club, member of the Board of Governors of the NJ Federation of Republican Women and the Chairwoman of the Republican National Hispanic Assembly. She also ran for NJ State Assembly during the 2021 election cycle.
